Porto elected Best City Destination in Europe 2022

Porto was elected Best City Destination in Europe 2022, during the 29th edition of the World Travel Awards (WTA). The award, which once again places the city in the elite of the best European destinations, was received by the Councillor for Tourism and Internationalisation, Catarina Santos Cunha.

Porto was among a group of cities competing for various awards in the World Travel Awards, which included Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Geneva, Lisbon, London, Lyon, Rome, Venice, and Vienna. The awards categories for which Porto was nominated were Best European Destination for Urban Escape, Best European Cultural Destination, and Best European Metropolitan Seaside Destination.
