For the tomato sauce:1 can of crushed tomatoes1 onion, finely diced1 clove of garlic, minced1 bay leaf1 cinnamon stick1 teaspoon of paprikaSalt and pepper, to taste1 tablespoon of butter1 tablespoon of flour1 cup of beef broth1 cup of beer
To make the tomato sauce, heat the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until soft.Add the crushed tomatoes, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, paprika, salt, and pepper to the saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and stir to form a paste. Slowly add the beef broth and beer, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.Add the beef broth mixture to the tomato sauce and stir to combine. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.Heat a small amount of olive oil or butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the slices of bread in the pan and top with the ham, sausage, roast beef, and cheese. Fry until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.Crack an egg into the frying pan, on top of the sandwich. Cook until the egg is set, then top the sandwich with the second slice of bread.Pour the tomato sauce over the sandwich and enjoy your meal!
